Between October 20th 2006 and March 4th 2007, FORSIP's subproject SIPBILD
presents an solution to the challenge how to control an electrical
wheelchair by facial expressions and gestures at a temporary exhibition
at the Deutsches Museum themed "Der Mobile Mensch – Zwischenstopp
May 2006 SIPBILD at "ThyssenKrupp Ideenpark", Hannover
SIPBILD joined the ThyssenKrupp Ideenpark in Hannover that took place from
May 20th 2006 until May 28th 2006 with the project "Bitte lächeln -
Mimikerkennung mit dem Computer". The visitors were able to test the
software during the exhibition and especially children and teenagers liked
to do so. The administration of the exhibition integrated our project into
the guided tours for politicians. Therefore SIPBILD was visited by
Chancellor Merkel, the EU-Commissar Verheugen, the Prime Minister of
Niedersachsen Wulff and the minister von der Leyen.
During CeBIT 2006, FORSIP subproject SIPaDIM will introduce its
prototype of an interactive foreign language training programme for
Java-based mobile phones. The programme embedded in a text adventure
will be presented in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences
"International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces 2006 (IUI)" at
Sydney is the world’s leading conference on user interfaces. Bernd
Ludwig, FORSIP employee, will present researches of the subprojects
TRUSTEE and SIPaDIM at IUI-2006 at the end of January. His presentation
will be named "What is on tonight - User-centered and Situation-aware
Proposals for TV Programmes".
The SIPKIS group joined the European Banking und Insurance Fair (E.B.I.F 2005), which took place within the 8th EURO FINANCE WEEK hold in Frankfurt/Main. Additionally SIPKIS was responsible for the conference's session "From product to customer orientation: value based customer management in banks and insurances".
October 2005 SIPaDIM at the "Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften"
On 22 October 2005, the "Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften" achieved a
record attendance with more than 20,000 visitors.
As a part of a "Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften" program SIPaDIM
introduced its prototype: a supporting system for satellite television
with an automatic programme suggestion system.
Hundreds of visitors were informed about the research activity and
offered the possibility to try the prototype out.
The feedback on the prototype was received by questionnaires filled out
by attendants who took part in testing. The final summary of the
questionnaires showed that more than 80% of the test participants would
recommend the system.
On September 1st, the Bavarian Research Cooperation for Situated, Individualized and Personalized Human-Computer Interaction (FORSIP) started into its next term.
The Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and Arts will finance the
Research Cooperation for two more years with a total of 460 T€.
The Research Cooperation which consists of the seven participating chairs of the universities of Augsburg, Erlangen-Nuremburg, Passau and the Technical University of Munich, will thus concentrate on personalised information and assistence systems that are to reduce costs in important economic sections such as the touristic industry.

Forsip will organize a workshop at the Informatik 2005. The organizers invite experts in science and practice
to submit their papers for the thematic area of situation, individualisation and personalization.
The conference Informatik 2005 takes place from September 19th until 22nd 2005 at the university of Bonn.
Frankfurt, 21.10.2004 SIPKIS at the EURO FINANCE WEEK
The SIPKIS group joins the European Banking und Insurance Fair (E.B.I.F 2004), which takes place within the 7th EURO FINANCE WEEK held in Frankfurt/Main. A prototype of a consulting system for retirement provision will be presented, that was developed jointly with SIPREACT, SIPRUM and TRUSTEE.
Additionally SIPKIS is responsibile for the conference´s session "Wertorientiertes Kundenmanagement in Banken und Versicherungen".

The IT talk about the Bavarian Research Cooperation FORSIP - News about Human-Computer - takes place at the SYSTEMS 2004 on October, 19th, at 14.30 h in hall A2 booth 329.
Participants are Prof. Dr. Elisbeth Andre from the University of Augsburg, Brigitte Nussbaum of the trendhouse Event Marketing GmbH and Prof. Dr. Bernd Radig (TU Munich). Talk host is Prof. Dr. Werner Kießling from the University of Augsburg.
Munich, 26.07.2004 Speech "Ihr Wunsch ist COSIMA Befehl" at abayfor celebration
"Zukunft braucht Forschung!" (Future needs research!) - themed the presentation of abayfor and the research alliances at juli 26. at the Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften in Munich. Part of the varied program was a speech of Prof. Kießling with the title "Ihr Wunsch ist COSIMA Befehl" (Your wish is order for COSIMA).
Munich, 23.06.2004 COSIMA is honoured at BayernOnline Awards
Prof. Kießling presented sales agent COSIMA at the BayernOnline Conference in Munich as a very innovative software project. The well-known german television presenter Sabine Sauer negotiated live with COSIMA.
Munich, 2004-06-14 COSIMA at the ADS04 workshop and the CEC04 conference
The COSIMA project joins the workshop on Affective Dialogue Systems 2004 (ADS04) with a poster featuring "Experiences with an Emotional Sales Agent". The workshop takes place from June, 14th to June, 16th in Kloster Irsee, Germany.
In July COSIMA B2B will be presented at the IEEE conference on E-Commmerce Technology (CEC04) in San Diego.
